To access ROM in AS mode
- After starting Quartus® Programmer, select the download cable to be used from the Hardware Setup: button and follow the steps below.
- Select Active Serial Programming from Mode:.
- Click the Add Device... button on the left side of the screen.
- Select the ROM you are using from the displayed screen.
- After making your selection, click the OK button.
5. The specified ROM will be displayed.
6. Click the Start button to execute all erases.

Accessing ROM in JTAG mode
- After starting Quartus® Programmer, click the Hardware Setup: button, select the download cable to be used, and then follow the steps below.
- Select JTAG from Mode:.
- Click the Auto Detect button.
- The devices connected to the JTAG chain are displayed.
4. Select a device displayed and right-click with the mouse to open the menu.
5. Select Attach Flash Device ... from the menu that appears. 6. Select any ROM and click on it.
6. Select the desired ROM and click the OK button.
7. Check Erase for the appropriate ROM.
8. Click the Start button to start the erase.
