When using USB Blaster III and programming a device in Active Serial Programming mode with Quartus Prime's Programmer, the following error message appears.
Current programming hardware does not support Active Serial Programming programming mode
The initial shipment of USB Blaster III does not support Active Serial Programming due to a firmware issue.
Therefore, it is necessary to update the Product ID of the USB Blaster III to 6023.
<Who this workaround applies to>
Users who own a USB Blaster III product with Product ID 6020 and perform Active Serial Programming using USB Blaster III
⇒ Users who do not use Active Serial Programming mode do not need this workaround.
Also, this issue does not affect JTAG communication.
