After compiling the Signal Tap as a module in the design, you can save the STP file with the implementation details by clicking the Save As button in the menu below and then start the file.
File menu > Create/Update > Create SignalTap II File from Design Instance(s)
Then, after specifying the Altera® FPGA Download Cable II (USB-Blaster II) and the sof file to be downloaded, the file can be written and used as an STP file.
However, the Power-Up Trigger option in the STP file cannot be used with the IP Catalog creation method.
