When simulating Nios II from Nios® II SBT (Software Build Tools for Eclipse), the Nios II Boot configuration must be configured to Boot from On Chip RAM and run in On Chip RAM.
Nios II Nios II should be configured as follows.
Nios II Reset Vector: On Chip RAM
・Nios II Exception Vector: On Chip RAM
・Location of various sections of Nios II Linker Script: On Chip RAM
If the Reset Vector is set to Flash Controller, the simulation model of Flash Controller is not read correctly because the Flash Controller is accessed at the beginning of the Nios II process, and Nios II stops due to reading an undefined value. Nios II will stop due to the reading of an undefined model.
